Fortune Cookie Soap Winter Box 2013

The Fortune Cookie Soap Winter Box's Theme is The Nightmare Before Christmas.  I am very excited to try all the products in the box.  I just received the box after postal issues, but i do have it.

"JACK" Bath Fizzy

If we had a nickle for every time we called each other a "Jack Head" while we were making this fizzy, we'd be rich!  With noted of iced lemon and airy menthol, warmed by woodland moss and smashed cranberries.

"Sally" Fortune Cookie Soap

For our favorite rag doll, we wanted to create a fragrance that captures her spirit.  Fresh breezes, fluttering white cotton and dry crackling leaves, held together by twine.

"Oogie Boogie" OCD Hand Sanitizer

MY BUGS!!! A mix of smushed winter berries against a backdrop of sweet muted cinnamon.

"Lock, Shock and Barrel" Bath Melt

Everyone's favorite trick-or-treaters! Which will land on your doorstep? Literally. Frosted woods of pine and spruce, warmed with hints of spice.

"Sandy Claws" Exfoliating Body Butter

'Dis beech will rough you up - IN A GOOD WAY!  They call him Sandy CLAWS for a reason.  So anyway, it smells like chocolate and chai and yumminess. Mhm.

"Zero" Dry Shampoo

Not to play favorites but..um..kind of maybe the best fragrance in the entire box.  Yeah. Ghostly billows of sweet peppermint, with just the faintest whisper of pumpkin.

The fortune cookie soap box is a seasonal box.  You get four boxes per year tailored to the season.  The box costs $19.99 every three months.

Ipsy November 2013

I received my November Ipsy Glam Bag.  It contained 6 products one of the products was from Michelle Phan's New cosmetic line EM Cosmetics.  This months theme was Glam It Up.

EM Cosmetics lash gallery clean volume mascara  $20.00

This is a good mascara.  The only problem that i have with it is the brush. I have used it a few times and the volume is good.  It coats my lashes really well.  The brush is kind of harsh. When i take the brush out of the tube it has a lot of product on it and the product smears on the tube.  I like it but that is the only thing that i really didn't like.

Gem Eye Pencil by Starlooks in the color Topaz  $14.00

I used this eyeliner and the color is beautiful.  It is better with something on top of it.  When you use it alone i wears off easily.  

Lip Crayon by Be a Bombshell  $14.00

I usually don't wear pinkish colors.  The color on the website is described as burgundy with shimmer.  i really like it.  It is not overpowering as if i was wearing a red lip color and is subtle for me to wear at work and it not look like i was trying to look like a glam up person.

Straight Up Color Nail Laquer by Nailtini in the color Champange  $13.00

I like the Nailtini nail polishes.  they are really pigmented.  

Bronzer by Pixi Beauty  $18.00

I have a deep complexion.  I really don't wear bronzer.  I will try it but it is a color that won't show up on my skin.

Results:  Over all this bag is a hit.  I like the things in it. With the exception of the mascara and the bronzer i liked the other items.

Ipsy October 2013

I received my Ipsy Bag a little late this month. But after all the hassle I finally got it. It contained 5 products that i am happy to try.  The theme for the month is the Art of Beauty.

 

Bella terra Mineral cosmetics mineral shimmer in Emotion $14.99

I haven't tried it yet but i am going to try it soon.  The color is very beautiful.

Zoya Nail Polish in Neve. $8.00

I am wearing this color right now.  I love the color and it is a color that I would buy but I love that is came in the bag.

Norish Organic Coconut and Argan Oil Body Lotion.  $11.99 8oz.

This lotion was not the best.  I really didn't like it.  It was not moisturizing on the skin and during this time of the year i was hoping that it would be.  My hands are the driest and they still itched and hurt after I put the lotion on.  I will use it up but I will not buy it in the future.

Style Sexy Hair Spray Clay  $18.95  4.4oz.

I have not tried it yet.  

The only thing that is not pictured is the Costal Scents brush that was in the bag.  I have used it and i really like it.  It is not scratchy at all and it applies eye shadow really good.

Results: Besides the things that i didn't use the other things were good.  The lotion is the only thing that i really didn't like.
